Modern models of dishwashers operate at different temperature conditions. The degree of cleaning the plates and the flow rate of the powder during washing will depend on the indicator on the thermometer. In this article we will tell you what the temperature of the water in the dishwasher can be, as well as about its optimal and maximum values.
At what temperature does the dishwasher wash?
Not a single dishwasher, be it Beko, Siemens or Ariston, can heat water above the temperature maximum, which is laid down by the system at the stage of its production. Each particular machine has its own maximum heating, which depends on the type of device, its power and design features. Therefore, all PMM can be conditionally divided into: high-temperature and low-temperature. Let us consider in more detail how they differ.
High temperature devices
Washing and drying kitchen utensils in this type of dishwasher takes place when water is heated from 70 to 82 ° C (depending on model). To do this, it provides an additional heating element, which allows you to accelerate to this mark on the thermometer. Therefore, the advantages of such PMMs are obvious:
- the process of cleaning and drying cutlery is faster;
- there is no need to use additional detergents or their consumption is significantly reduced;
- elimination of pathogens and other harmful bacteria.
Disinfection of dishes is possible only when washing with high heat (at least 70 ° C). Comfortable temperature for human hands - 40 ° C. Therefore, no matter how you like, you will not succeed in getting rid of harmful microorganisms by washing the dishes by hand. In this regard, high-temperature machines clearly win.
The disadvantage of such machines is the high energy consumption, especially if you use high-degree cycles for washing daily. And their cost is much higher, but, by and large, quite justified. Most often, such devices are found in the brands Bosch, Siemens, Beko.
Low temperature washing machines
These devices operate at a maximum heating of 65 ° C. But to ensure quality dishwashing without detergents, you can not do here. Disinfection is also not possible. Indeed, to remove microbes, it is necessary that the water is heated to at least 70 ° C. But for those who are interested in saving energy and for whom disinfection is not a priority, it is better to choose a model of low-temperature type.
The latter type of PMM is more common and cheaper, since their functionality in terms of choosing the temperature regime is limited. But this does not mean that such a technique is not capable of qualitatively washing pollution.
Optimum washing temperature
Most modern machines can operate at different temperatures, which depends on the amount and degree of contamination of the loaded kitchen utensils and the selected washing program. To reliably determine at what degree the equipment copes with its duties most effectively, you need to try all the modes of its operation.
Standard
The program is basic and provided in all PMMs, regardless of manufacturer and price. The mode passes when water is heated at 45–65 ° C.
This is quite enough for high-quality and quick washing of kitchen utensils of low and medium degree of pollution. Suitable for daily use.
Intense
A useful feature, but, alas, not every home assistant can “boast” of its presence. The equipment washes when heated from 70 ° C and above, therefore, it easily copes with strong impurities (fat, dried food debris) even in pans and pans.
In addition, such a program provides for the disinfection of kitchen utensils, as well as the sterilization of cans for preservation. But you should not abuse it, since it is longer and more energy-intensive than any other washing program.
Delicate
For gentle handling of products made from fragile materials (porcelain, crystal), a delicate program is used in dishwashers. The t indicators in this case do not rise above 40 ° C, and the cycle itself lasts from 30 to 100 minutes (depending on the model). For example, in PMM Siemens it takes at least 1 hour 10 minutes, and in Bosch it takes only 44 minutes.
Do not use the delicate mode of operation without a special product capable of completely dissolving at 30 ° C. Also do not use it for heavily soiled kitchen appliances. Otherwise, the quality of the cleaning will be unsatisfactory.
Conclusion
In any dishwasher, a special appliance is responsible for heating the water - a temperature sensor. It works when the water reaches the maximum degree set by the program. Then the temperature sensor through the control module sends a signal to the heating element for shutdown. If this important piece of equipment fails, repairs should be carried out without delay. Otherwise, this will necessarily negatively affect the quality of the dishwasher.
