Damage to any washing machine. Vertical loading, disassembling which is possible at home, has similar problems with front-end models. Any broken mechanism or machine part requires replacement. To do this, the housing of the washing machine must be disassembled, find the problem and carry out repairs.
How to disassemble a washer: preparation
To completely disassemble the equipment, you need enough free space. Unplug the machine and slide it into the center of the room. If possible, you can take the AGR to the garage and get to work there.
To repair any vertical lines "Ariston", "Virpul", "Ardo", "Kandy" you will need a set of tools:
- Phillips and slotted screwdrivers;
- open-end wrenches;
- set of socket heads;
- pliers;
- grease WD-40.
You will also need a container for collecting water and dry rags. To remember the placement of wires and contacts, it is better to arm yourself with a camera. So you can correctly reconnect the wiring.
How is the vertical washing machine disassembled?
Take a look in the instruction manual of the washer. Usually, there are indicated schemes of the device technology. So it will be easier for you to navigate in the nodes and parts of the unit. Machines Electrolux, Whirlpool, Brandt, Indesit vertical loading disassembled approximately the same.Differences may be in small parts and fixtures.
Proceed to repair:
- Disconnect the equipment from the network.
- Move away from the wall to conveniently approach either side of the machine.
- First remove the control panel. For some SMA it is enough to pry the latches in the front part, for others - unscrew the screws on the back or on the sides.
- Lift and set the panel aside. If it interferes, then disconnect the wiring, after photographing the location of the contacts.
- Behind the unit are the screws that secure the cover.
- Unscrew them and remove the cover. In the case of Zanussi machines, you will have to remove the side panel and loosen the door latch.
- Remove the filler valve. To do this, unclip the clamps and remove the hoses from the seats. Disconnect the wires and press the latch to squeeze the valve.
- Remove the side panels of the CMA by unscrewing the screws on the sides.
- Slide the walls down and put aside.
- Now there is access to the front mounts. Remove the screws, remove the panel.
- You have access to all sites. Remove the wiring that attaches to the tank.
- In most vertical washers, the tank is not removed from the housing. Therefore, the bearing will have to be replaced on the spot.
- Remove the drive belt from the pulley.
- Disconnect the heater. Twist a nut and push the central bolt inward. Remove the heater from the tank.
- Remove the motor by pulling out the contact chips and twisting the mounting bolts.
- To release the drain pump, unclench a collar of a branch pipe and a drain hose, remove them from a place. Be careful, water will pour.
- The pump must be turned counterclockwise or the bolts must be removed.
How to disassemble the cover of a vertical machine? To do this, lay it on a flat surface and follow the recommendations:
- Remove the powder receptacle by pulling up.
- Press the latch on top and remove the button.
- Two bolts are hidden behind it. Unscrew them.
- Turn the door over, remove the handle.
- Unfasten the latches around the perimeter, separate the two parts of the hatch.

Now you can repair or replace defective items. And at the same time, clean the equipment from debris, mold and fungus, inspect the parts for corrosion. Remember and photograph the correct arrangement of the components in order to successfully assemble the machine after repair.
